Microgaming may have beaten NetEnt to the punch when it comes to the first actual big developer releases of 2016 but the Swedish developer hasn’t been out of the news as they have given players a preview of what is to come soon this year. Fantasini and Drive – Multiplier Mayhem are two vastly different games but both look very exciting in their own ways and we’ve got the lowdown on exactly what Aussie players can expect to be enjoying in the coming months.
Kicking off with Fantasini – Master of Mystery, we see the developer returning to one of their favourite themes – that of magic. The Man of Mystery himself bears something of a resemblance to Houdini and we can expect the stage magic of Simsalabim to be taken up a notch here. The Houdini influence continues on the symbols which are all artefacts of a different time in magic, including crystal balls and handcuffs and players will have 243 ways to win on the game in a nod to the Reel Power system created by Aristocrat. One of the most notable takeaways from the teaser is that there are linked reels in play, where at least two adjacent reels will display the same symbols, in the same order, making it even easier to complete winning combinations. The trailer demonstrates that this isn’t just restricted to two reels either, with all five reels becoming linked at one point, guaranteeing multiple five of a kind wins thanks to the 243 ways. Whether that’s the extent of the features or not remains to be seen as the game is scheduled to launch later on this month.
Further into the future is Drive – Multiplier Mayhem and we’re instantly captivated by the visuals on this one. It’s both cartoonish and futuristic and there’s a definite Fast and Furious influence on the board, not least due to the sports car that keeps watch over the board in the bottom left hand corner. Among the best parts of the game are wild multipliers, which land at any time and can carry big boosts that not just multiply prizes, but also each other. There are also free spins in play and players can collect nitro boosts in a meter on the left of the screen which can lead to frozen wilds and extra free games. The round is all played out in a first person perspective too as players participate in a race and we can guarantee that this is unlike anything players will have seen before!
As noted, Fantasini – Man of Mystery is set to be NetEnt’s January releases and will be landing at your favourite Aussie casinos in the coming days. While no release date has yet been set for Drive – Multiplier Mayhem, we can expect it in the next couple of months and would dare say that it will be well worth the wait! We’ll have more information on both of these great games as soon as it becomes available.
